De Cledia Delano Benda was born about 1870 in New York City. His father was Delano Benda of Cremona, Italy, and his mother was Josephine Marconi of Milan, Italy.
"Louis" as he was known, had a brother, and from what he remembered, his brother was sent to the midwest, possibly as part of the Orphan Train.
The family looked alot like Senetor Frank Lautenburg, so if your family looks like that, it may be a connection.
