Please note that I have 9 months of Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa Globe Gazette newspapers which I'm periodically posting items from. My previous posting was news item is one of those papers. Sorry, but, I am not your relation.
I am also making a GEDCOM file from those newspapers. Having gone through a little over a week of the papers, the first week of April, 1939, it already contains over 7,000 names.
In that data base, I find a reference to a birth notice about the birth of Robert Allen Bohl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bohl, born April 3, 1939, in Buffalo Center, Winnebago, Iowa.
The copyrighted information is from the Mason City Globe Gazette, Monday, April, 6, 1939, p. 20, col.3, and is posted by permission.
For further information on the Bohls in Buffalog Center, I would go to the Winnebago County GenWeb site. They may be able to give you some good leads.
