Hi Mimi, sorry it took me so long to get online. Now that the site is getting active, I will check here once a week and respond in a more timely manner.
Sarah Jane Clark, Ezekiel Jr's wife, her father was George Washington Clark and her mother is only known as Wright. Sarah Jane had a sister named Matilda. This is all that I have on Sarah Janes family, other than most of her descendants.
I am one of the few Benbrook descendants who does not believe that Ezekiel's parents were Stephen and Sarah Brown. If you go to any Family History Center, you can see records that Stephen and Sarah Brown came to America in about 1810 with 10 children. They settled in NJ, and I call this line the NJ Benbrooks. What are the odds of another Stephen and Sarah Brown coming to America in 1740 something? I know that there is a genealogy book from KY that says Stephen and Sarah Brown are his parents, but Ezekiel was born before his parents were? Keep your eyes out for Abraham Benbrook, who came (was sent from Eng)to VA in ~ 1740. I believe Abraham to be his father, but currently am unable to verify. I have documents showing Abrahams deportation from Eng and showing he was landed in VA, but that is all. If you would like more info on Sarah Jane Clark, I would be glad to ask Bert Highet, the real expert. Jerry
