Hello Ernest, Yes I am related to that branch of Benbows. That family line is all over the USA. I don't know how much that can help you since I have little specific info on the S Carolina tie, one I didn't know existed untill recently. I do know that Adam Benbow, Evan's father, moved his family and slaves to Alabama from South Carolina. What the relationship was to the Benbows who remained in S. Carolina, I have not figured out yet. Those names I gave to Joshua were the Benbows holding slaves in South Carolina. Not all Benbows were slave owners. Have you taken the oral histories from the senior members of you family? That's how we knew about Evan. Good luck on your search. Diana
