I am the daughter of Steve A. Benavides and Janet F. Benavides. My father was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and was the son of Santos Benavides (DOD 27 Feb 1944) and Margarita A. Benavides (DOB 22 Feb 1892, DOD 6 Aug 1973). I know my father was the youngest of seven (or perhaps 8)children. Most of his siblings have passed away.
Before my father died, he tried to research his family tree and believes that his ancestors were Refugio, Cristobol, and Santos Benavides of Laredo, Texas. I am trying to work even more on the family tree, but I have been running into brick walls (so to speak).
