I rechecked my Vecinos de cerralvo, NL 1630-1760 record that I have on Benavides's and reverified your information. What I find as parents for Juan Baez de Benavides, who married Clara Gutierrez Lara are Francisco Benavides and Juana Vela, who also had a Juan de Benavides, who married Maria Gutierrez, who had (1)Juan Antonio de Benavidez Gutierrez, who married Jacoba Garcia and(2)Javier Francisco de Benavides Gutierrez, who married Nicolasa de Villareal. This can be verified in the Index to Marriage Investigations of the Diocese og Guadalajara 1653-1750, Vol I. So yes they are related to Francisco Baez de Benavides, that married Clara Flores Cerda, but not as direct parents, but as Grandparents I think.
Also your lineage I can't find connecting to the lineage I have on my tree, but I may not have all the children for Juan Baez de Benavides and Clara Flores Lara, some time between 1747-1750, there were no records due to not having a priest, and then there were wars with the indians, Cerralvo was a presidio (Fort) in those days, and this was going on. So children could have been born and taken somewhere else to be baptised, this needs to be checked out, I just don't have the time right now. But if you already have this record or info, could you let me know and I can add your info to my data base, if you are truly related.
Please keep in mind that Baez de Benavides and Benavides were prevelant in Cerralvo and most are related in one way and another. Also you have 1st wives dying and widower's remarrying sisters of the 1st wives and it gets confusing. And the problem of Benavides naming children in honor of uncles, grandfathers, and so on, so you may have 5 0r 6 Francisco's, Juan's, ect... Juan's are numerous and so are Maria's, if you can find a middle use it also, and parents full names including their parents last names, ex Clara Cerda de Flores. Jose Vincente Baez de Benavides de la Serna, sounds familar to me, what are the particulars on this person? Good Luck, Gloria
