J. Carlos: I have proof, as i am direct lineage, what do you need? Most of my documentation can be verified, but it gets kind of sticky after 1681, but I have some transcribed church records from Cerralvo dating back to after this date and they did have a son named Juan, but everyone named their chilren either Juan or Maria and then another name, I believe this Juan is Juan Antonio Baez de Benavides, a soldier, at the Fort near Cerralvo, I'll look it up again and reverify for you, are you still interested. The Benavides's we're pretty well known locals in Cerralvo, Francisco was kinda famous I assume for way back in those days. Let me know. Gloria
