I am also related to Gonzalo Baez de Benavides, as is Mario, the information you provides him also rings a bell with me, would you happen to know anything about how to get information to the canaries, so that I may inquire of them for info? I have some old microfische at the lds library where I'm from in Texas, but it's in Spanish, and I'm not very proficent, can I try and help you with anything else? I have traced the tree to Francisco Baez de Benvides- my Grandmother was a Benavides-Gonzalo was her 8 or 9th GreatGrandfather. Let me here from you.
