mario im surprised you havent found this info yet, and im trying to trace back to these people too. francisco baez de benavides was famous in cerralvo, he was the mayor. i have some hidtory on him. also a relation to you a carl l duaine i believe is his name is related to a Macedonia ramirez who comes from francisco baez de benavides and gonzalo baez de benavides. and what is more important and you owe me big time is that carl wrote a book (he's wriitten 4) on his family lineage to the very begginnings from spain, say 1621. the book is with all arms by carl l duaine, new stander press in edinburg published it. i have ordered it from my local library, and its a goldmine of info, linaeage charts galore, and whats even better he invites anyone who is his potential family to fill in gaps of his lineage charts, there are a few, but NOT MANY. get a copy, see if your library can get a copy on the interlaon library program. there may not be many copies in print. and if you find my lineage there before i do, please please let me know. i have really worked real hard at this. anyhoe francisco baez de benavides was born on the island of tene---in 1594, he came to nuevo leon in 1620, he was the son of gonzalo baez de benavides and martha lopez, he (francisco) married ines rodriguez, daughter of Juan navarro and maria rodriguez. he was the acalade mayor of cerralvo during the 1600, he died aug 8, 1706 in cerralvo and he was a captain in the infantry. he left something called a protocolos, libro II, page 48 #1007, this may be some kind of will or testament, you can send for this record from
