I have seen many postings regarding the Baez de Benavidez origins and it seems there is a great leap of faith in naming Juan Baez de Benavidez' (married Maria Clara Gutierrez de Lara)parents as Francisco Baez de Benavidez and Clara Flores de la Cerda. I have not been able to find any proof that they are related. Does anyone know if there is a direct relationship between them and, if so, what proof is there? Thanks.
