Do you know the names of her brothers or sisters? One of my ancestors, Alvin Bemis, had a sister named Betsy Bemis. I don't have any info on her personally. But I can tell you that her siblings were: Alvin (born 1794 and married Jerusha Guernsey), Lydia (born 1800), Clarrissa Ann, Nancy (born 1808), Chauncy, and Samuel. Their parents names are: Samuel Bemis and Betsy Elizabeth Bemis. (I think they were cousins) Samuel was born in 1769 in Worcester, MA, married 10/29/1794 and died in 1817 in Cambridge, MA. Betsy Elizabeth was born 12/13/1775 in Cambridge, MA. Samuel was a silver worker in Boston and was known as "Sam the clock maker". He was a spy during the Revolutionary War and the British burned down his shop then.
I hope this helps. If this is your line I have more info on this family and I have four more generations past Samuel Bemis tracing them back to Dedham, England.
If this isn't your line, good luck! :)
P.S- I would LOVE to have the personal info on Betsy!
