My late wife was a member of the Belton family of London, Ontario, and I have quite a bit of information on them. The family can be traced back to a John Belton from near Dublin, Ireland, who immigrated with his family to the Pratt's Hollow area of New York State about 1810. He died there in 1828, but several of his sons moved from New York State to Ontario about 1820, and settled in London Township. My wife's direct forebear was Thomas Belton (1795-1832), the third son of John of Dublin. One of his sons, James Henry Belton (1823-1903), established a lumber business in London. He married: 1) Martha Kernahan, and 2) Martha Jane Wilkinson. The information I have is mostly on this family, but I have some on the other Belton sons as well. If you give me some more details as to whom you are seeking, perhaps I can help you.
