Hi, Linda-- since posting the request for information regarding Sarah Jane Belton, I have received some info on the John Belton/ Elizabeth Webster family who moved from Wicklow Co., Ireland to upper New York in about 1811 and then, at least part of the family moved on to London Township, Ont. This couple had a son, Thomas, who had a daughter named Sarah who was born in 1825 in London township. The info I have includes the extended family and I'd be happy to share if you are interested. I still don't have proof that "my" Sarah is this one but everything points that direction. I paid for a family search through the London Township Gen. Society and the fellow who helped me was great. He tracked down a fellow connected to the Belton family and who had a diary of the whole John Belton family. He sent me quite a bit of info. on some of the children, but not on Sarah. He said that he had been real busy but would try to get more info from the diary and send it. That was in May and I still haven't gotten anything new. I'm going to try to see if he will do some more looking, as I would like to visit the London area in Sept. I live in Modesto, CA but am planning a trip up that direction to check out my roots. If you have anything on this branch of the Beltons that you would like to share, I would appreciate it greatly.I have picts of Sarah's gravesite in London.
