Hello again Michael Anderson.
Another part of the 24 pages of well-researched genealogy data you recently received from William Yeadon Bellinger mentioned that "Joseph Bellinger, the only surviving son of Edmund the 4th (Landgrave),...inherited property in Colleton County from his grandfather and also from his brother, Edmund, who died without a heir at the age of 21.Joseph Bellinger is listed in the 1790 Census as a resident of Colleton County, St. Bartholomew Parish (South Carolina). No other persons are listed in the census as residing with him.He probably inherited Poco Sabo (Plantation). He apparently bought Aeolian Plantation in the Springfield section of Barnwell District, near what is now Bamberg (South Carolina). It is said that his son, Edmund Cussing Bellinger, designed the house at Aeolian.Joseph also owned homes at Ashepoo and in Charleston (South Carolina) on Pitt Street... He (Joseph) had one surviving son, Edmund Cussing Bellinger, 6th Landgrave, b. 1813, d. 9 December 1848."
Goodbye for now.
David Alan Bellinger of Monroe County, New York
