Adam E. Bellinger was born 0n 25 January 1812 in Montgomery County, New York and he died 3 February 1873 in Lincoln, Isabella County, Michigan.He married Lydia Jones (b. 2 May 1811 in Massachusetts; d. 22 April 1856 at Scipio, Hillsdale County, Michigan) in 1832 at upstate New York. Lydia was the daughter of William & Chloe Jones.
Adam E. Bellinger (1812-1873) is indeed related to the Bellingers from New York. His father was Philip, grandfather was Adam Philip, Johannes, Dieterich and his ggg-grandfather was Hans Bellinger of Steinau An Der Strasse, Bavaria Germany. There are several dozen descendants of Adam E. Adam E. Bellinger (1812-1873) left New York about 1835 and first settled in Cleveland area and lated relocated to Defiance, Ohio.From Ohio Adam E. Bellinger & family moved to Scipio, Hillsdale County, Michigan where on 26 October 1844 he bought a 600 acres farm for $200.On 3 July 1858 he bought an additional 40 acres for $500.Adam moved again; this time to Lincoln, Isabella County, Michigan where on 5 December 1869 he was awarded Homestead patent #131 which contained 168 acres.part of this homestead is still in the Bellinger family; owned by Cecil Bellingar, Adam's great-grandson.
Betty Bellinger Bateman found Certificate MI2980-132 issued under the Homestead Act of 29 May 1862 stating 167.75 acres had been granted to Adam Bellinger of the Toledo Strip, Ionia, Isabella County, Michigan.
Adam E. Bellinger (1812-1873) & Lydia Jones had 5 sons & a daughter. A couple dozen pages covers details of descendants of Adam E. & Lydia Jones Bellinger.
Of interest to you is their 3rd child, Philip Bellinger (b.11 December 1836 in Ohio; d. 22 August 1916 in Isabella County, Michigan. He married Almira C. Arnold (b. 25 February 1842 in Pennsylvania; d. 28 April 1903 at Isabella County, Michigan) about 1861.Philip & Almira are buried in Riverside Cemetery at Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.He was a Civil War Veteran.

Nellie A. Bellinger (b. 5 march 1866; d. 11 April 1939) who married George E. Wicks on 1 january 1883
Amy A. Bellinger (b. 23 April 1867; d. 7 February 1928) who married Edward L. Gerard on 4 December 1889.
Norma B. Bellinger (b. September 1875) who married James Campbell on 26 November 1901.
