Hi Debbie,
I am delighted to see your posting! I have connections to this line of Bellingers.
William Bellinger had a brother named Thomas, born in Enborne, Berkshire, who is my G G Grandfather on my mother's side. As far as I have found there were also 4 other brothers, Henry, George (1) Charles and George (2) and 1 sister Sarah Ann.
Their father was John, married to Sarah and whose listed occupation in 1851 census was a shepherd. John's father was Charles Bellinger (Bellenger). I can supply you with lots more details. There was a story from way back in my family that my GG Grandfather, Thomas, may have owned a stud farm in Newbury but lost it in a gambling debt. From there they moved to Bermondsey where they more or less remained.
William lived at Wash Farm Cottages, Wash Road, Newbury at the time of the 1881 census.
Hope this is useful
regards Suzanne
