Hello Corinne Anderson.

Per your data from this forum and from another of your postings in 1999 ... Peter Lent was born about 1800 and died 15 August 1897 in Geneva, Ohio. Peter Lent married Mary (Polly) Bellinger (b. about 1800; d. 28 August 1863 in Oneida County, New York ... buried at Oriskany Falls, New York). You have listed their children as being:
William Lent (1/2 brother)(b. 10 Feb. 1823),
George of Marcy, New York,
Levi Lent (b. 13 Jan. 1819) of Utica, New York and
Mary Lent Higginson of Utica, New York.

So far, I've only found a son of Peter Lent and Polly (Mary) Bellinger by the name of Josiah Lent (b. 1823 in Montgomery County, New York; d. 4 October 1890 in Watertown, Jefferson County, New York).

Josiah Lent married in 1847 Lois Towne (b. 22 March 1827 in Canada; d. 8 March 1881 at Brownville, Jefferson County, New York). Their children were born in Watertown, Jefferson County, New York:

Marcia Lent (b. 1853),

Elizabeth Lent (b. 22 Sept. 1855; d. 27 March 1933 at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio) married James Peters (b. 10 August 1854 in Canada),

Charles W. Lent (b. 5 Oct. 1857; d. 24 Nov. 1914 at Dayton, Ohio) married Lillian M.,

William Josiah Lent (b. 21 Jan. 1863; d. 31 Dec. 1953 at Dayton, Ohio) married Jennie Augusta Hose (b. 4 April 1864 at Parmelia, Jefferson County, New York; d. 17 Oct. 1951 at Dayton, Ohio) on 21 October 1885 at Watertown, New York.

Eugenia Lent (b. 1865)

The following is a thought (not researched yet) ...

John J. Belllinger (b. 13 September 1781; d. abt. 1862 at Watertown, Jefferson County, New York) and David Bellinger were twins and were the sons of Johan Jost Bellinger & Elizabeth Putnam.

John J. Bellinger (b. 13 Sept. 1781) & Maria Bicknell (d. in Oneida County, New York) had at least 4 sons & 4 daughters. Only one daughter has been traced. Her name was Mary (b. before 1809), but was not your Polly because her husband was I. Newton & they had 9 children of their own.
John J. & Maria Bicknell Bellinger apparently had three other daughters ... One could have been your Polly who married Peter Lent.

"Twin" David Bellinger (b. 13 Sept. 1781) was "of the Watertown tribe". Similarly, one of his currently unknown daughters might be your Polly Bellinger.

Goodby for now.

David Alan Bellinger of Monroe County, New York
