Curious if anyone is still following this thread? I'm looking for any information on Allen Bellew who was a signator to the 1787 State of Franklin Petition in what is now east Tennessee at that time still part of North Carolina. My Jacob Smelser was also a signator to the Petition as well. We later find Smelser associated with Bilyeu / Bellew in Pulsaki County, MO and also in Linn County Oregon. We too have some connections to the movements of the Daniel Boone family ... we have Smelser family living nearby the Boones in St. Charles County, MO and also have ties back in KY / TN. So, we would like to believe that this Allen Bellew is another piece of the puzzle on the movements of these frontier families. Any help appreciated. Will share what I have.
