I have tried DNA testing to help bridge the gap my common line and discovered that I am related to Joe Ballew in NC, Noble ballew in NM. This enable me to verify that we belong to the same common ancestor by checking males's 'y' chromosome. All ballew males can submit their sample especially older males before they pass on, to a DNA sample. It was easy and painless. paulballew@bellsouth.net our home page www.ballewassn.org
