I am looking for an Alfred L. or C. Bellew who moved from Greenville SC, the dark corners area, to Walhalla SC. In the newspaper for Walhalla it has an article dated January 20, 1902 that says Alfred was burned to death in a fire at the jail. He had moved to the Walhalla area shortly before this and states that he was about 60, had just been married three weeks, and left a wife an several children. I believe his first wife was Elizabeth Morrison. If anyone has information on this family I would appreciate any help.
