Sorry about leaving out George's date of death. I don't have an exact date, the date of the obit is April 2, 1943 and says he died wednesday, but without knowing the day of the obit it's hard to put an exact date to his death. The obit was printed in the Burlington (VT) Free Press, if that helps.

His wife's maiden name was LaDue. Some of the info I have I know is kind of shaky. The two older brothers both swear that the Bellew family still, somehow, has property in or around Galway but that information is suspect at best. Pat and George (jr) both died in a car/train accident in high school, but I don't have birth/death dates on any of George's kids (except my dad) yet, but I've written my aunt and should hear from her in due time. I also asked her to send me a list of marriages, kids, grandkids and so on. It's quite a big family out in VT and NY. I've only had the opportunity to see that half of my family on very rare occasions but it's quite a fun and rowdy bunch! Unfortunately they're not a travelling bunch. My dad's brothers and sisters all came out at different times when he was sick, but that's about it for their travelling adventures. My dad and his brother Eddie seem to be the only ones who wandered far from home.

This whole thing is kind of exciting. Knowing I have (distant) relatives only 5 hours away and never knew it! So many questions I want to ask, so little space. Just may have to make a trip up there come spring.
