You have got to get a copy of the Bellah Family Register. I found it fascinating! It takes the Bellahs back to Adam. Of course you must take that with a grain of salt. The copy I got was in terrible shape, a copy of a copy of a copy. William Newton Bellah is the line I search. He was a son of John Davidson Bellah. He was called "Uncle Billy" by the people of Nacona, Montague County, Texas and was the father of my husband's grandmother, Fanny Gertrude Bellah Clark. My father in law was named for him. There are tons of William Bellah's in the family and lots of bluebloods from Scotland. They were Stewarts and MacDonalds, descending from Donald Bellah. Look at Stewart and MacDonald histories and you will find Donald Balloch (Bellah) there.
