Hi Babs,
Recently I found ancestors stretching from Columbus Ga to Naylor Co. Ga. Our oldest ancestor was a slave named Milley Bell b. 1812. According to an older member of the family member there were two Bell families in this area. Good luck with your research. Keep me updated i'm also still trying to find an answer to some enigmas in our family.
