I am in NO WAY endorsing nor even know the seller. I just want to bring these documents to the attention of anyone with an interest in the history of Newburgh in general and the BELKNAP family in particular. The site says, in part: "Consignment of approximately 70 old historical documents which include military documents, governmental and military appointments, letters, plat maps etc. from the Belknap/Fowler family. The oldest papers date from about 1792 up through the Civil War to the Spanish American War all the way to about 1910. This group of documents is from one family beginning with the Abel Belknap family in the late 1700's through his son Chauncey/Chancey Belknap and Chauncey's daughter Jane Ann Belknap who married David Edward Fowler and their son Edward Sydney Fowler..." http://www.jacksoncornervintiques.com/miscellaneous.htm Does the Newburgh Free Library purchase documents?
