Bennett BELTOFT was the son of Richard. b. abt 1520 d. 2 Dec 1599 and Elizabeth __ b. abt 1520 bur. 17 Jan 1588/9 Sawbridgeworth, Herts, Eng. Richard and Elizabeth had 5 children: Bennett (or Benedict); Josias (Belknappe) bp. 6 Sep 1562 Sawbridgeworth, m. __ Brown, d. 1600; Mary, m. Raoph Brown; Alice bp 16 Sep 1561 d. nlt 1594, m. Edward Lyndesall 5 Oct 1578; Robert.

Richard was the son of Laurence Beltoft and Elizabeth ___. He had a sister Alice who m. (1) Wm. Stubbs (2) ___ Sutton.

Laurence was the son of Richard Beltoft and Christian ___. He had three brothers: John, Henry, Edmond.
