I have a lost Belknap family which seems to be names others have in the family records.
Horace Belknap died in May of 1860 at the age of 67
He was born in Massachusetts in 1793 the year exactly would depend on his birth month. He died in Jackson county Illinois.
Ruth A. Belknap age 21 in 1860 birth 1839 in Ohio
Harriet Belknap age 17 in 1860 birth 1843 in Ohio
Sarah E. Belknap age 16 in 1860 birth 1844 in Ohio
Warren Belknap age 19 in 1860 birth 1841 in Ohio.
Harriet was also known as Hattie. She was my Great Great grandmother and I would really like to find her family and where in Ohio they came from. 1860 is the first year they appear in the Illinois Jackson county census. I am not sure if Horace was their Father or Grandfather. My Father and Greatgrandfather are named after him.
