My husband said that the Belknaps had a copper mine in Northern Mich., and that is the area where this piece was auctioned. We have as yet been unable to find the exact artist, since it was just signed Belknap. Pamela Service is my sister-in-law and has posted here earlier asking also. She and I are working together to get as much information as possible. If you know of any other pieces, I would be interested in contacting the owners to possibly make a connection with the original artist.
