Hi Judy, I also have 1769 as the date of birth for Stephen Belknap; the source is "Before the Bowman Boys" by Jane Belknap Bowman (1976) "About 1810, Stephen went to Canada with Eleanor Middaugh. The lived in Hamilton, Ontario until Stephen's death in Dec. 1814. He was drowned in Burlington Bay." This source gives his place of birth as Belchertown, Massachusetts.
