Job Belknap, son of Samuel Belknap and Mary Dickinson, was born 29 October 1728 in Enfield, Connecticut; christened 10 August 1729 in Somer's Church, died 18 June 1775 in Cambridge Mass; about 1753 Job married Mary Phoebe Newton. This information is taken from page 102 of "Heritage with Honor" by W. Dean Belnap. Recently, I found a Revolutionary War Pension request by a Francis Belknap who "served as a substitute for his father Job Belknap," but other than a Roxanna named as Job's widow, no other family information was available there. Francis Belknap enlisted 1 May 1775 in Ellington, Holland County, Connecticut.
