Sonia. Thank you for replying. This ties in perfectly. William Cole Swanson dissolved his business in London in Jan 1827 (london gazette) - it looks like they all went down together. I found your article in the London Gazette from your email. John George Swanson's baptism did turn up - four years after his birth in 1831 and 300 miles from where he was born. Still no idea where they all went when the businesses went belly up in 1826/27 - I just know they left the country. I will try to find where I picked up the link to Lyon Fricker and Fisher to send you, I think it was from the Chancery Records of W C Swanson that I bought from the national archives. Do you know how to find death records in Honduras/Belize for 1840 onwards please?
