Scottish Ancestor's Death in Belize

I recently received a very old letter, dated November 1854. In this it states that my Great Grandfather's "brother" George died of Cholera in Belize in September 1854. I think this refers to one George MENZIES (half brother)from Scotland. Does anyone know whether it is possible to trace burials in Belize around this time?
