I might have a bit of interesting information here.

I have an Attestation document for John Nathaniel McDonald, dated January 19, 1916. This document swears his allegiance to the British Crown prior ot his service in WWI for the British Army (Belize was of course the British colony of British Honduras at the time).

I understand from a gentleman that I have met who has done extensive research on the WWI soldiers from Belize that there was also an Issac McDonald who served. As Issac gave the same home address as John Nathaniel (499 Water Lane, Belize), we have assumed that they were brothers.

John Nathaniel served with the second British Honduras and left Belize to serve in July 1916.

Is any of this of any interest or help to you?

Regards,
Byron McDonald
