Harry,
My paternal lineage runs through Belize.
A second cousin of mine has stated that the McDonald's of Belize have some connection with the Ushers.
I also noted your comments about the name Haylock.

Here is my data:
My grandfather George Alexande McDonald was born in Belize in 1881, immigrated to New Orleans, Louisiana.
His parents were John Alexander McDonald and Georgina McAulay Erskine.
John Alexander McDonald's mother was Sarah Kennedy; father unknown. Sarah Kennedy also had three daughters; one was Miss Virginia Haylock, died 1898, who had been a headmistress at the Weslay Girls School in Belize.

Do you know anything of the McDonald's of Belize?

Best Regards,
Byron McDonald
