McDonald, a possible sibling

Just after the Second World War between 1945-47 my father Thomas McDonald, a member of the R.O.A.C. had an affair with a lady in Brussells named Yvonne.
Thomas and a number of his military friends owned an Ice Cream Parlour in Brussells.
Family lore has it that he fathered a child and his Scottish family would be interested to know, if this was true.
We also realize how difficult, the way of life and the desperation that the local people must have gone through during this time.
We are not trying embaress anyone in our request for the information.
We are just trying to connect with someone who is related to us.
Thank, John
