Can you read Flemish? I ask because I came accros a book where "signeur Johan Balbini d'oude" is mentioned as being the buyer of a palace called "Pulhof te Rode aan de Dries". He bought it on 23/3/1555, act was presented in front of the "Schepenen van Berchem". If you are incapebly of Flemish I'll try to translate the piece about Balbani.

The book is from Karel Nicolaļ and called "Steegjes & Speelhoven" , "Arm en Rijk" te Berchem. Publisher was Kring voor Heemkunde Berchem v.z.w.

I translated speelhof as palace, if you could email me on
