Alfred Winfield drowned Antwerp 1907

Hi. Hope you can help

My Great great grandfather was a merchant seaman and he drowned in the River Scheldt, Antwerp while his ship was in port in Antwerp

His name was Alfred Winfield, he died 2nd October 1907 age 57 and was with the ship SS Putney Bridge

I have all the paperwork for his death but no knowledge of where he is buried

Could anyone tell me if foreign sailors bodies were buried in a local cemetery close to the port?

Many thanks in advance

Cliff
