In my ancesters there are Arend, but you will see the name jumping to Haerend an/or Haerends, so make sure you don't overlook the H. In common speech flemish, people added H and removed H in al places possible. The town whichs my ancestors came from, was Oostend. I have put some more tips on other places, so be sure to have read them all.Victor
