Moreau Family from Mettet, Namur, Belgium

I am looking for information regarding my 3rd Great Grandfather's family. He and his wife came from Belgium to the United States sometime between 1858-1869.

Herbert (Hubert) Edward Moreau
Birth:8 Mar 1837 in Mettet, Namur, Belgium
Death: May 1903 in Maryland, United States

His spouse was:
Louise Josephine Cordier
Birth: 1836 in Brussels, Belgium
Death: 02 Nov. 1894 in Foxborough, Norfolk, Massachusetts, United States

Now I dont know anything about the parents of Herbert or Louise. If anyone knows anything please post.

I know that they had other children that were born in Foxborough, Norfolk, Massachusetts after they arrived in the states.

Their only child born in Belgium was: Constant Emile (C.E.) Augustus Moreau --- Birth Apr 1859 in Belgium
and Death 24 Sept 1925 in Helmville, Powell, Montana.
(He eventually settled in Montana and was one of the territories' first families'.)

I once was told as a child that our Moreau last name once was spelled MOREAUX, and that the X was dropped once the family emigrated to the US, because of the pronunciation issues attached with the X spelling. I dont know if this is true or not, so If anyone knows anything regarding this and
this family and/or their roots in Belgium please post.

Annette Moreau
