Hello, Victor,
You have much valuable experience for all searchers...have you ever taught an informal geneology class?
I contacted a Walot on Facebook and requested she email me. I'm still waiting.
Your research surnames do sound more like the Flemish of Belgium.
I just went to the site ' notre.famille.be
I do not know where to put the surname Walot on the page.
Also. Son-of-a-b...., can be used two ways. If you're referring to the one I think you are, yes, I learned the painful way what the means. Can't go into detail on genforum about it. Have you tracked when/where it's origins started? I am interested,
As always, for a long while,
Reta
