Hi Peter,
Meile Posthuma and Meindert Posthuma are one and the same person.
The Posthumas', aka Postma, originate from Friesland in the north of the Netherlands.
Meile Postma, born 12 october 1841 in Harlingen,Friesland
son of Jelles Bartles Postma and Aafke van der Meulen.
Antje Palstra, born 31 May 1844 in Barradeel,Friesland
daughter of Wiebe Fokkes Palstra and Tjitske Hendriks.
Meile and Antje are married on 23 November 1865 in Harlingen, Friesland
They have 6 children;
- Aafke Postma, born 29 January 1866 in Harlingen
- Wiebe Posthuma, born 31 December 1868 in Meppel in the province Drente
- Jelle Posthuma, born 4 May 1871 in Meppel
- Fokke, born 10 September 1874 in Barradeel
- Tjitske, born 7 May 1877 in Barradeel
- Bartele, born 26 March 1881 Harlingen
- Hendrik, born 5 February 1884 in Amsterdam, in the province Noord Holland.
