dunk - Brandant

I am researching Joseph Dunk who arrived in America in 1856 according to Wisconsin census records. I am trying to connect him to a father Andreas and mother Theresa which also show up in Brown county Wisconsin census records.

I believe this family come from Bierbeek, Brandant, Belgium. I am hoping to find immigration records.

Does anyone know of information available for this area of Belgium? Is Dunk a common name or has it changed from the original Belgium name?

Thanks for any help!
Camille
