The Department of Jemappes was temporary part of the French Empire (1793-1814). It was recuperated by the Low Countries at the end of the French domination. In 1830 its territory became the province of Hainaut, one of the nine provinces of Belgium.

Binche is a city of that province. Barbençon is a section of the city of Beaumont in the same province.

No information about Zara.
