I checked in my own database of civil cases. I found in Bruges and the Franc of Bruges [the countryside of Bruges] 9 peoples called "van Wijnsberghe" who opened a civil case. One of them was in a case against a Spanjard [1698]: Anthone van Wijnsberghe against Augustin Hurtada y Mendoza, governor of the city of Damme [near Bruges]. In 3 other cases, some van Wijnsberghe's got summoned in a cause. The eldest case was in 1657 against Jacques van Wijnsberghe.
Do you know that the parish registers of the city of Bruges are published? I think they are made up in an excel file. I have seen that print out [book !] in the archives of the city of Bruges. VVF as organisation of genealogists in Belgium made a database in which you can search on family name who is born, married and burried in which village [1600-1796].
