Some thoughts :
1. The cards in the Museum are about prisoners of war. I am not sure if she would have had the POW-status. I.m.o. POW's are people in the uniform of the other side who were so unfortunate to be captured.
2. During most of World War 1 only a tiny part of the country (some 20 km by 20 km near the sea and the French border) was held by the allied troops. The remainder was under German-Austrian control.
Sure there may have been camps in this tiny part of west-Flanders but the camp may be have been (likely) in France.
