Hello,

I cannot help you much, but the name Wery caught my eye. L. E. Wery was our family doctor in Hartford City, IN in the 30s, 40s, 50s. He delivered all five of us siblings born to Edgar and Elsie Gillis. It never occurred to me that he might have been Belgium. All my grandparents were from Belgium. Grandma Bertha Wallot Gillis has a store on the south side of Hartford City. The Loriaux and Wallots lived on the southside for years after coming from Jumet, Belgium.

Eaton, IN was mentioned also. In the 50s my family moved to a farm east of Eaton so each of us five siblings graduted from Eaton High School.

I do not know if I can find any more information on Dr. Wery or not. Perhaps my older siblings remember things I do not.

So good to read of Dr. Wery. I had thought of that kind doctor many a times.
Elsie Gillis Kerr
