I am a descendant of Marie Louise VAN TONGELEN (1867-1942) she lived in Antwerp Belgium, and her ancestors came from Haarcht, & Roosebeek Brabrant Belgium, there is a legend in the family that they have Spanish connections, and they were descendants of the Governor General of the Spanish Netherlands around 1588. Around 1900 a the VAN TONGELEN’s decided make their fortune around the world. Some went to the United States of America, a Victor VAN TONGELEN was drowned at sea, my Great Great Aunt Antoinette VAN TONGELEN was a seamstress and died 102 in Fort Lauderdale Florida USA in 1978, The VAN TONGELEN’s were little people, under 150 CMS high, some had dark hair, the Spanish connection, others had blond hair, the Flemish line. If you have any information or suggestions please contact me.
