Thomas Belew, according to family information by word of mouth, was born in the Mississippi Territory in 1800. I do not know when he came to Texas but he married Cecilia Latham in 1835 in Panola County, Texas. Together they had 7 children, Louis, Narcisse(us), Thomas, William, John, Susie, Rosie. Louis Bonaparte Bellew and Narcisse Bellew married brother and sister, Mary Anna Hayes and Martin Hayes both born Illinois. Their parents are from Ireland, I have more details and alot interesting information on the Hayes, Flanagan, McCarty and Daly names if anyone is interested. What I am interested in at this point is finding Thomas' parents and why he came to Texas. At this time I am not free to travel due to my job, family. Louis Bonaparte Belew b. 1849 had twelve children. One of his sons John Hayes Belew b. 1878 was my ggrandfather. Anybody with information please contact me.
