I've always wondered if there was a connection between my Belews and Renny's line. The earliest I find for my line is Thomas (my gg-grdfather) B: 1825 Clarke Co. AL. He was married to Martha E. Moore, also from Clarke Al. Thomas named one son, Reuben. My grandfather was named Thomas Franklin. All 3 names are in the articles about Renney. How do I find Thomas's parents?
Thomas' migration was AL-MS-TX-NM.
I really feel like the outcast in this family as no one else seems to be asking about Belews in Clarke Co or Neshoba, MS.
Mother told me that her father, T. F., had always said he was Scots/Irish so not sure we fit in with your French side.
Can you shed some light on this line? Shirley
