Looking for a "Doc" Bellew (unsure of spelling) who lived by Glassy Mountain in Greenville County of SC. Said to have been killed in the battle of Glassy Mountain. His name may have been Jacob, but no evidence of such. My ancestor,his daughter, Rebecca Bellew, born 1837, died 1915, was married to Elifus Bowers.
