Abram Burke Belcher Adopted from lottery orphan train
and adopted by James Belcher. Birth name Abram Burke.
( this seems inconsistent with the era of orphan trains )
Abram Burke Belcher, Spouse Unknown, fathered two children, James Green Belcher, b. in GA abt 1843, and a second child first name and sex unknown, last name Belcher.
One of these two Belchers Fathered Zint.O. Belcher abt 1873 in Alabama, and Orlie Belcher in 1882.
Zint O. Belcher Fathered: Mattie Lee Belcher abt 1906
Curl Belcher abt 1908
and Zint O. Belcher, Jr. 1909
O. is believed to be Orlie.
Zint O. Belcher SR. remarried and fathered:
Hubert Belcher, abt 1897
Phillip Belcher, in 1898
and Roy Belcher, in 1899
This phillip Belcher was my Grandfather, born in Enterprise Alabama in 1898 and I know from
conversations with him and family pictures that he was the son of Z.O. Belcher Sr.
